We just got our first ultrasound yesterday morning. I'll be a dad this March!
It's the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. A whole part of life that you really can't comprehend opens up to you when you have a child. The last few months of pregnancy and the first 90 days or so of infancy were a real challenge, but then all of a sudden I saw this person emerging from the demanding insensible lump that ruled my days and nights and she is amazing. The first time your child smiles when they realize that it's you they are looking at and the first time they give a big belly laugh at something you no longer knew could be wondrous are completely overwhelming, knee buckling joyful moments, they are the gifts of parenthood. I thought all day about how happy I am for you both.
